Malaysian eVisa for Pakistani Citizens
With its diverse natural beauty and vibrant culture, Malaysia is a top tourist destination in Southeast Asia. In this beautiful country, visitors can spend time discovering wildlife in the dense rainforest, relaxing on the idyllic beaches, or exploring cosmopolitan cities. Visitors to Malaysia from Pakistan require a Malaysian visa, which can be obtained using the easy eVisa process.
Pakistani Citizens and the Malaysian eVisa
The Malaysian Immigration Authority launched the eVisa program in January 2016. The eVisa is an official travel document which is electronically linked to the passport of the traveler.
The Malaysian tourist visa permits travel in Malaysia for up to 30 consecutive days, without the possibility to extend. The eVisa can be used for tourism or business reasons and can be used within 3 months of its issue date.
There is no longer a need to fill out lengthy paperwork or visit an embassy in person. The eVisa process is completed entirely online. Be sure to finalize the Malaysia visa application from Pakistan before traveling.
What Type of Visa for Malaysia is Available from Pakistan?
There are a few different Malaysia visa types available. Be sure to review the different types in order to select the one that makes the most sense.
Single-Entry Malaysia Tourist Visa for Pakistan
The most common type of visa issued by the Malaysian Government is the single-entry visa. This eVisa can be used for a stay of up to 30 days, but cannot be extended. If travelers wish, they can apply for a new single-entry visa once every 3 months.
Multiple-Entry Malaysia Visit Visa for Pakistan
If traveling more frequently to Malaysia for business or governmental projects, the Malaysian Government also offers a multiple-entry visa. This visa is valid for 3-12 months from the date of issue and permits multiple trips of up to 30 days.
To be eligible for the multiple-visit visa, the applicant must demonstrate sufficient funds for their frequent travel to Malaysia. They must also provide confirmation of their return ticket. The multiple-entry visa is not yet available with the online eVisa process. Therefore, applicants will have to apply at the nearest Malaysian embassy or consulate.
